Excel Gantt Chart

Here’s a smart and simple tool to help you with project management scheduling. With it, you’ll be able to build a timeline depicting the tasks associated with your project, including key information such as responsibility, start date, end dates and dependencies.  This Gantt chart shows the dates as horizontal bars, providing you with a picture of the activities and their interdependencies. Often Microsoft Project is a preferred application for developing timelines and Gantt charts. For those who do not have access to Microsoft project or the training to use it, this Excel version can be helpful. Please note: this spread sheet is very manual to update, so we don’t recommend it for more complex projects. This format may also be useful for executive reports as it provides a simpler display than Microsoft Project.
